A more detailed picture of the food-preparation side of the outdoor kitchen. The cabinet doors were constructed in my wood shop out of a simple redwood frame surrounding a number of Salt Cedar branches that I found a guy selling on the side of the road in Santa Fe, NM. The antique iron hardware is from a blacksmith\'s shop in Mexico City. Pam made the colorful mosaic out of broken pieces of Talavera tiles from Puebla, Mexico. Once I finally cast the concrete counters, stain and polish them I\'ll be able to install the cutting board that has been made out of hard-rock Maple and the very neat hand-painted Talavera basin that we found at a neat tile store in Tucson, AZ called Mexican Tile and Stone. The small painted tile is a characature called a Calavera (Skeleton) and is very popular in Latin cultures due to the obsession with the Day of the Dead. The tiles were painted by this great artist in Tonola, Mexico.
