Mr. Coughenour had tended to my mother's property for awhile on my recommendation as I had known Dan since elementary school. I found him to be extremely expensive compared to other companies, but I also took issue with him personally. Many complaints were made regarding destruction of items on the property, including a sliding glass door which was shattered, with Dan refusing to take responsibility for any of it. When I let him go in October 2014, he insisted that there was money still owed to him, of which there was not. He called the house repeatedly and came by unannounced. I had the local police call him to tell him to stop this harassment. After that, he apparently staked out my mother's home to find out who we had hired to replace him. He called the new landscaper and slandered me to him saying too that he would be wise not to work for us. I found Dan to be untruthful and manipulative, so I was not terribly surprised by this behavior, but nonetheless, it is inexcusable. Contemplating a lawsuit. Extremely happy with new landscaper.
