TL did the snow remodel and landscaping for my condo community this year (2013). In most areas, their work was unremarkable, but their contract is not being renewed.

Their tree and shrub trimming was poor. The bush/shrub trimming was uneven and they left branches sticking out randomly. They did not trim at branch divisions. They also did not clean up after themselves. The tree trimming was crude and left ragged cuttings at arbitrary cutting points.

They also caused repeated damage. None of it was extensive, but it was careless and repeated. On several occasions they gouged the turf and left tread marks by driving their riding mowers on wet ground (where they should've used lighter equipment). The crew tasked with repairing the damage was belligerent. While they were trimming weeds they mowed down half of my plants. After leaf removal they left my walkway strewn with leaves and clods of dirt, and left more gouges in the turf. They also knocked my downspout in front of my site and left it there.

Without the repeated carelessness, I'd say their work is fine. Given the rest, though, I'd recommend against hiring them.
